MobilityVet, a growing mobile veterinary rehabilitation practice, is seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Veterinarian or Physical Therapist to help expand our practice and provide high-quality rehabilitation directly in clients’ homes within approximately a 30-mile radius of Loveland, CO.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of rehabilitation-specific experience
- Current veterinary or physical therapy licensure
- CCAT, CCRP, CCRT, or equivalent canine rehabilitation certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle preferred; A shared company vehicle may be considered with schedule accommodations
- Strong orthopedic and neurologic exam as well as myofascial palpation skills
- Ability to design and implement a rehabilitation plan for recovery, maintenance and or mitigation depending on the disease process
- Ability to tailor the plan and specific modalities according to signs pain, stress, and patient personality
- Ability to identify neurologic changes and post-operative concerns requiring veterinary intervention
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate client and patient care
The ideal candidate is confident working independently, developing and modifying therapeutic intervention plans, communicating concerns as necessary for collaborative support, and adapting treatment to each patient’s needs and personality. Fear Free training/certification is preferred.
MobilityVet offers a supportive, collaborative environment with access to Class IV laser, focused extracorporeal shockwave, therapeutic ultrasound, TENS/NMES, and extensive therapeutic exercise equipment. Dr. Porterfield is certified in rehabilitation, acupuncture, and chiropractic care and is manual therapy and massage trained.
