Description
Principles of Hydrotherapy (Online):
This course will provide an overview of hydrotherapy, an understanding of the properties of water, and hydrotherapy in practice. Relevant anatomy, physiology and common conditions will also be covered in detail. In addition to the use of hydrotherapy and the underwater treadmill specifically – related equipment (pools) and their required maintenance, water management and general cleaning will also be discussed.
This course will cover canine psychology and handling techniques for patients specific to hydrotherapy and the underwater treadmill. Through demonstrations, case-based learning, and guided practice, participants will be able to provide effective treatment plans and confidently integrate/boost their skillset of hydrotherapy into clinical practice.
